An urban explorer has revealed his findings after searching the abandoned home of the late King of Quirks, finding it full of bizarre inventions.
Daniel Sims, 32, searched the Huddersfield, West Yorkshire cottage – once owned by Jake Mangle-Wurzel – before his death in August last year from skin cancer.
The self-declared “professional eccentric” rose to fame in the 1980s by appearing on various TV shows and was featured in a 2014 documentary about his life.
He had previously appeared in an episode of Hoarders and fought the local council to keep his surplus assets around his property.

As he explores the rest of the inventor’s house, Daniel is amazed to find a mannequin propped up and posed by the window.
The house appears to be filled with a random assortment of items, including a police hat and road signs.
Mangle-Wurzel also appears to have created a miniature wall from cigarette butts, which Daniel notes appear to have been stuck “with his own phlegm”.

Oddly, in one room are dozens of photos of the man, printed on A4 sheets of paper, along with a handmade chicken clock.
In what appears to be the bedroom, the bed is covered in pornographic magazines.
As he further explores the main house, Daniel notes that the inventor appears to have installed his own electrical system.
Later, he finds a makeshift tombstone, dedicated to “Shattwell Shufflebottom”, another nude female mannequin and a small windmill handcrafted by the inventor.

Outside, Mangle-Wurzel’s car is the highlight, with a toilet and cat statues on top, Daniel exclaiming that he’s never seen anything like it before.
Elsewhere on the property, he finds a mannequin that has been fashioned into a water feature, with a garden hose running through his head and a wheel near the crotch to turn the feature on and off.
Various open coffins also line the area, including one filled with another nude mannequin.

The urban explorer said: “The inventions he left behind were wacky designs that he designed himself.
“His car is well known and consists of various objects attached to it, such as the tub, cats and the panels he had made.”
Daniel also reports a makeshift drawbridge as notable, as well as “random torture devices” – including what appears to be a handcrafted stock retainer, which was used to hold a mannequin.
He added: “The atmosphere was just pure amazement at what had been left behind. Seeing all the wonderful and wacky inventions and how Jake lived was a mind blowing experience and there is nothing like it.
