Bella Hadid dress: Bella Hadid closes Paris Fashion Week with a “futuristic” dress. The video shows how an elegant dress was spray painted on a mannequin

Is it even Paris Fashion Week if there are no dramatic moments and gasps? A moment of appreciation for Sébastien Meyer and Arnaud Vaillant, the men behind the futuristic dress which was made in spray paint in front of the public during the spring 2023 collection of the Parisian brand Coperni.

The duo broke all existing records and just when we thought we’d seen it all, here’s the dress that was spray-painted on model Bella Hadid as she stood motionless in front of a mesmerized audience.

Hadid, 25, entered the runway shirtless in a pair of nude thongs and slip-on high heels. The model covered her breasts with one of her hands, while her hair was tied up in a sleek bun. After Hadid reached her spot, she stood there like a model as the dress was spray painted onto her body for the Coperni Womenswear Spring/Summer 2023 grand finale.

A team of specialists, led by Dr Manel Torres, managing director of Fabrican Ltd and inventor of vaporized fabric, created the minimalist yet futuristic dress. After some careful adjustments, the model then paraded around in the stunning outfit that was created before everyone’s eyes.

Meyer and Vaillant, who tied the knot on a remote Greek island last year, are known for pushing the boundaries of fashion tech.

Coperni is known for its bold styles – the brand went viral in April for its mouth-blown glass handbag worn by Kylie Jenner and Doja Cat.

Several attendees at the show and witnessed this iconic fashion moment, captured it on videos which were later uploaded to social media platforms. The video has now gone viral with fans not only praising the brilliant designers behind the unique design, but also model Hadid for playing her role perfectly in the historic show.
